Demonstration Showcase Display Guidelines
Each team will be provided a 2ft x 4ft size table for displaying materials. While an elaborate display is not essential, you do want to share information or examples of your innovative idea. Please email Blake Whittle [email protected] by 3/27/2024 if you need any electricity near your table.
Pitch Competition
Each team must be prepared to give a three-minute presentation, in the event they are selected for the Pitch Competition. If you have a PowerPoint or Google Slides to accompany your presentation, please have your presentation uploaded to a flash drive to be downloaded to a PC. The three-minute presentation will then be followed by up to five minutes for questions from the judges. We encourage you to practice your presentation to ensure it flows well and you meet the time limit.
All teams will be judged with the following criteria:
- Purpose (Why do you exist?)
- Problem you are solving (What is it?)
- People (Who has that problem? demographics? incidence? severity?)
- Proposition (What are you proposing?)
- Product (What product, service, innovation solves that problem?)
- Positioning (How is this different/better than current providers?)
- Production (Who will produce it?)
- Price/costs (How much $ to produce, test, develop, promote, distribute or how much of a savings?)
- Path (How delivered from source to consumer?)
- Promotion (What is your brand name, media to raise awareness, comprehension, and demand?)
- Needed (What investment is needed to launch development and testing?)
- Value (What is the value of your concept today?)
